The other day I was talking with a friend about charcoal (gripping conversation I know). I was telling him about how this year I'd switched charcoal brands and have already gone through 30 or so bags. He asked me why I switched and how I figured out the right brand to start using and I explained to him...."I took a pole on The Smoking Meat Forum". He not being a bbqer quickly rolled over laughing and holding his side. This is one he is never going to let me live down or forget. Next time I will say that "I asked some of the members on an internet web site dedicated to bbq cooking".

Classic case of Foot-in-Mouth syndrome.

don't feel bad, i got laughed at the other day at work too when someone walked by and saw the smoking meat forum banner at the top of the page. of course there were a couple of comments questioning my sexual preference, lol. ahh, friends can be such a pain!
