So yesterday I ordered a Mastercraft Electric Smoker with thte RF remote and all that.

Today I realized I have zero clue what the hell I'm doing (oof!)

I've never tried smoking nor have I owned one before.  But (like most) I'm addicted to good BBQ.  I'm hopeful to pick up some good tips about the best way to use my smoker, what to burn in it, where to start with whatever meats, and other random stuff I'm sure I haven't thought of.

Any advice will be welcome, and I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions along the way.  But it seems to be the perfect time to pick up a new hobby.

this is a great place to start... Everyone here loves to talk about, give advice on, and eat smoked meat.  This is a great site.

Thanks John.  It certainly looks like it's packed with info.  A bit hard navigating thus far in the forum breakdown.  I wonder how many of the great informative posts are buried and hard to find.  I'll keep at it though and see what I can find.

Welcome aboard!

Get to know the forum as there is a lot of info here and very helpful people if you run into trouble.

Good luck and good smoking.

, TC, to your newest 'Obsession' .

Hint: do cheap meat till you get to know her...Chicken , Country Style Ribs , Fatties...

Once versed in the do's and don'ts of the process, you can "go to town" with most anything you want. Your only investment (besides Meat ) is ' PATIENCE' .

Have fun and ask all you want , then..
