I smoke a lot - have a Traeger 575 pro for loooong time. Put a 15 pound brisket on it last night, no start, it broke, no ignite! Had to put it in the oven. 18 hrs later, we got pretty good beef but no smoke and I’m pissed.
Brisket was ok but not smoked if you know what I mean.

Turns out, my hot Rod died just then and I had smoked 5 pounds of jalapeño cheddar last week. So I ordered a new one, and decided to take out my old one … turns out, fire box was rusted dead as well. So, back to Traeger online, cancel first order, add box/rod combo. Now waiting.
Good thing I still have my Weber 18” smoker…’
