Got my Tube AMZNPS out an going for my gasser smoker.

filled with hickory.

That's what I'm curious to see more documentation on. Savannah said in another thread his whole tube burned and 53rdCard said he got 3 hours in a 12" tube. It's looking like this is the fix for propane smokers!
 
got 4 hours 8 mins b4 it stopped smoking.

Smoke times are going to vary with the kind of pellets you have.
 
Thanks! Is that a 12" or 18"? 4 hours that's pretty good either way.

Oh and BTW Those were some Awesome looking wings! And looking at that pile of bones they must have tasted Awesome too!

I used some slap ya mama real good. marinated the wings in Kens buffalo wing sauce and added 3 T melted butter and overnight in the fridge.
 
How is that slap ya mama compared to Tony C's? I love Tonys but I'm looking for something with less salt.

I tried putting the Tube smoker in the chip tray just like you did but it still smoked like crazy an burned out in two hours....don't know what I did wrong.

I know the water/sand tray is large and blocks heat from going into the top portion of the smoker,which probably keeps the lower portion overly hot...... to try to help that along I drilled a series of holes in the lip of the tray. I'm stuck....I guess I'll try putting the smoker tube in the upper chamber for my next smoke.

I've seen people put the tube on the bottom off to the side away from the burner, also on the lowest rack, also in another pan sitting on top of the chip pan. I think in the chip tray it is too close to the burner and getting too hot. It might take a little trial and error to find just the right spot for your smoker. BTW what kind of smoker do you have?
