Hi! 

Joe here from North East Iowa. Stumbled across SMF while doing some research and WOW this site has tons of good info for a rookie like myself. I have always enjoyed making beef jerky in the food dehydrator and that's what turned me on to smoking. I also plan on doing some briskets, chicken, and ribs this summer. I'm real close to pulling the trigger on a Masterbuilt 30" electric from Walmart and a Maverick from Amazon.

Thanks for letting me join the site! I look forward to learning about smoking meat and sharing my experiences!
