I did Chex party mix in a smoker once. Had similar pleasing results. Much better than just adding liquid smoke to the sauce. This sounds great---definitely need to try!
But might include a little cayenne pepper to spice things up a bit.

Nice I wondered about Chex mix also. That’s the good thing there is so many ways to change it up and make it different.
