Been looking for an idea to hide my propane tank for my Modified Vertical offset smoker especially since when you swap out tanks you never know how nasty and ugly the next tank will be.
Yet I have had for sometime the solution staring at me with this damn little tikes laundry hamper from the mid 1970s that I did not know what to do with yet I couldn’t just toss it out.
turns out you can squeeze a propane tank in it and close the lid if you cut the bottom of the lid off.
The propane line conveniently runs right out one of the vent holes in the back.
as a bonus I have some room for small bags of wood chunks along the side of the tank.
but do not worry too much I did not wreck a expensive collectible since someone already drilled small holes into the front of it and repainted the top strips years ago.
