I won't be much help but I had FS V4400 for many years, we use the heck out of it and after going through a few rolls of bags I finally just started buying the pre made bags on Amazon. It just makes it so much easier and I'm only sealing 1 time per bag instead of 2. I also have a dry/wet setting but I just visually watch while the air is pulled out and hit the seal button before any moisture gets to the sealing area. When this one stops working I'll strongly considerer replacing it with the same model. It turned out to be a great gift from my wife BFF.

Nesco VS-22LB from Amazon.
If the VacuumSealersUnlimited bags don't work, I can return it.
We will find out Friday.
Hope they work. Hate returning things.

That’s a great looking sealer, and if it actually seals liquids it’s a game changer for sure.

I just looked at the V4400 on Amazon. Pricey at $235, but it is a nice looking unit. I think the game-changer is they moved the bag cutting to the top of the machine, which brings the vacuum slot down closer to the counter. I'm not certain about the sensor. It may be a weak point in terms of longevity.

I have had this sealer for about 5 years and it is a tank.

And really like these vacuum bags.

Thanks for the info, but...

I had looked at the Lem briefly, but didn't like that drip tray was not removable.

Also looked at the roll in a box things.
Seemed like it would be more work having both ends unsealed, and trying to line one end up with the sealer in the machine.

I have had the FS auto for 7-8 years or so, love it if something happens to it I will buy another, load the bag poke it in and it does the rest no button or bar to press, when I process a deer outside and it's cool you can seal none stop. Inside 4-6 before you get hot if you have a bunch already filled.

Regarding the bags: I only use foodsaver bags. Anything else has a higher failure rate. Amazon sells a lot of knock offs that are called foodsaver but they are not. they show up in a blank box and they are 1" shorter.

The premade bags also have a lower failure rate than making your own from the rolls. I pretty much only use the premade bags now.

Thats just my experience and opinion. Ive had my foodsaver for at least a decade.

Agree, Amazon bags are junk.
Never got pre-made from them, just rolls.
By the time you get half way through the roll, they are wrinkled, and makes sealing a real challenge.
I've had good luck with VacuumSealersUnlimited.
Less than FS as well.

I've never had a single failure with any of the off-brand bags/rolls I've ordered from Amazon...perhaps I've been lucky!

I "do" order the FS "zipper" reusable bags, though. I LOVE those things for keeping cheese and lunchmeat in the fridge...open it up, take out what I need, re-seal/vac, and then wash/reuse! Yes, you have to hold your mouth just right to line up the port, but you get the hang of it quickly.

When I spoke to the CS rep at NESCO about my suction issue, she told me to look at the bags I was using. The wrong bags had just unconnected raised dots on the inside . The NESCO bags had a cross-hatch (?) design, all the raised area was connected. Guess that made a difference.

It showed up a half hour ago. Will be testing tomorrow.
