Sometimes you just have to improvise so here's a trick that might help
if you don't have vacuum sealer.

Fill your sink with water and partially seal the bag leaving a small hole to let the air escape.
Drop the bag in the water leaving only the seal above the surface of the water.
To force the excess air out the bag, press the bag against the side of the sink.
Then seal the bag fully and remove it from the water.
Presto you have a generic vacuum seal!

Interesting thought there, Glue. Works better on the moister stuff I suppose, but nice technique. A "power burp" on the bag, as it were!

I just use the method before freezing food until I get a new sealer. Sometimes you just have to work with what you got.
