upgraded to windows 10 today

Rolled the driver back, turned off automatic driver updates, and so far so good. I'll see what else rears its ugly head I guess.

Haven't had a crash since I rolled back that driver so I'll just chalk it up to normal new OS growing pains. I'm liking it. so far.

I upgraded my laptop (Win7) and my Surface Pro3 (WIn8.?) never liked 8, but 10 I can still relate to, still organized similar to Win7 start menu, also getting more used to the tiles.

Well, since my laptop is about ready to crap out, I'll just WAIT til I get a new one.  Hopefully by then a lot of the bugs will be gone.

I went back to 8.1 today after crashing 6 times in 20 minutes trying to load Google Chrome. I still like Windows 10 better than 8.1 but I'm going to give the drivers a bit longer to mature.

i have been having alot of fun trying to keep my computer connected to the internet... it says "No Internet Connection" But the internet would be just fine on my phone. I have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting it in the network settings. sometimes i have to restart the whole computer

The one thing I saw right away that was better on my laptop was the internet connection. I went from downloading at around 600 kb/s in Windows 8.1 to a steady 1.3 MB/s in Windows 10. I'll miss that.

I installed last Fri Night, no problems yet, of course I really don't use it during the week, but when kids start school next week I will find out a little bit more of how it does.

hmm i havnt noticed but i cant recall doing very much downloading either.. ill have to pay attention next time i do alot of downloading

Overall i like the visual and set up of win 10 but yes its going to have bugs just like any new software. but i think its really nice to be free

Check your connection speed.  Sounds like your wireless is not using the full bandwidth available.  Go to network settings.

well cell phone manufactures have been doing it for years providing software updates and such for free but they are constantly coming out with new hardware

I just read up on their business model. This looks like a bad idea to me. They will give you the operating system for free then expect you to buy apps (like windows media center perhaps down the road).

Thing is, it works for Apple because they have thousands of independent smart people running around trying to come up with ideas for their own apps. How would MS ever be able to compete? They cannot be the #1 app for everything. So therefore windows would be sub par. Naaaa this looks like a mess. MS is taking the gamble of the century here.
