Hi everyone
I'm from S.Devon England.
As you can see in my profile pic I run a horizontal off-set. I've recently built a wooden shelter against the side of the house to protect my smoker from the elements. It's been a success and I've been able to cook in wind and rain, plus my smoker is protected when not in use.
Next I want to extend the stack out of the shelter. Does anyone have any experience with this? Many thanks - Toby.

If I was extending it, I would use the insulated galvanized pipe (you would use for a wood burning stove.) Once it is through the roof, be sure to install a flashing where it exits and a rain cap on top. You may want to check your local building codes to determine how far you need to go above the roof with the pipe.

Galvanized pipe is fine if it is after the cooking process. The smoke exiting your smoker is not hot enough to cause the zinc to off gas.
