I was correct, the chanterelles were popping! They are running around $40 bucks a pound at the farmers market and I have about 5# or so...not selling. I'm going to eat them.

About 1.5" thick ribeye. That steak weighs in at 1.56#

Talk about jealous! I cringe when I see the price of chanterelle mushrooms in the market. Nice looking combination.
 
That looks incredible! I would love to try other mushrooms but every time I look at the price I walk away.
