Turkey Pan or NO Pan

Hi All I'm smoking a 4-7# Turkey breast for T -Day.. Any thoughts on putting the Turkey in an aluminum pan for smoking. Going to use either Apple or Cherry wood for flavor. Would the pan method hurt the flavor from the  wood? Smoking on COS.

Dan I would not put it in a pan. I am not much on a boiled in it's own fat guy.You can put a pan under it if you want to catch the drippings.

Yes just keep it out of the drippings.

 Be frugal and fashion one of Aluminum Foil. Just a thought. . .
