Greetings to ALL: I'm in the process of putting together my 4th Edition of SmokeZilla. I'm moving the smoker onto the trailer and creating another mobile smoking kitchen. The smoker though is HUGE, largest I've purchased so far. The dimensions on the actual smoker are 84 wide by 72 deep by 42 high in the shape of a cube. I'm choosing to fire it with propane topped by a 3/8" plate to place wood onto.
I was about to purchase two, 32" black pipe propane burners but wanted to know:
1) the difference between btu's of a 1.25 in diamenter and the 1.5 inch diameter pipe, or are the differences negligible???.
I also used Feldons calculator and found the FBox size and decided to make the back half bottom.of the cube the FBox and .the front bottom half will become storage/propane tanks.
2) I'd appreciate any suggestions on tuning the smoker of this size.
I'm placing the smoker past the first set of tires and making the frontside my kitchen with Stainless wash sink, counter prep & fryer.
