I have never seen a tri-tip in the meat case, even at Costco. The only one I have ever done I had to ask for. It came from behind the counter and was expensive. I guess they figure if you ask for it you will pay for it. The wife does not like rare beef so I have that going against me also.

I happened on this one a year or so ago . Forgot I had taken a picture . Don't see them , ever really . Just once and awhile . Probably because they don't sell at that price .

I know they are cheap on the West Coast. They are hard to find here but I went to a store that always has them. Untrimmed tri tip was 9.99 a lb. Anywhere from 30 sum bucks to over 50.

Gezz
We were eating a good amount of them as we could pick them up for 6.99 to 7.99 then they jumped to 9.99 with Prime at 10.99......we slowed down but were getting the prime for a treat...but they have jumped up to 12.99 to 14.99.....We haven't gotten one at that price......I mean Rib Roast is 14.99......so NO on TT!

Wow thanks everyone. I thought 9.99 a lb was outrageous . Guess not
