First tri-tip! I liked it and will do it again. On the smoker for about a hour at 250 and then 3 minutes a side on my grill as hot as it would get.

Once you try Tri-tip you are hooked.

What is the going rate for Tri-Tip in FL?  In my area of Cali it is $4.50-$8/lb

Looks great.

If you want more smoke flavor you could cut from 250 to 180 and probably double your smoker time.
