OK,

So Tri TIp has dropped under $5.99lb here in So Cal. Our local market Stater Bros is selling trimmed choice Tri Tip for $3.99lb. I think that i might have to give that delicious raspberry chipotle glaze a go on a Tri TIp this weekend or next week at the latest. It's about time for my OKJ to get a shot at shining for once. My kettle has been working OT so why not get some great smoke from my offset? I hope that you all are safe from the creeping crud. It's getting really scary in this world right about now. Take care.

Funny thing is I don't have much room in my freezer at the moment. I will have to see what I can do to fit some in. They do have them at $2.99lb from time to time but it's usually for one of the big holidays. This is about as good as it gets.

I used to buy them untrimmed for $2.99lb and stock up. I haven't had one since we moved to AZ nine months ago, but I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a decent price here. There's no rush to do anything, we're pretty much stocked up and locked down for awhile. Maybe coronavirus will have a tough time surviving in the Arizona heat of summer, who knows. RAY

Don't think I haven't been looking for one of those awesome $2.99lb sales. This is about as good as I can expect for now. I plan on picking up a couple to tide me over through this insanity we call life these days. I am definitely going to try that raspberry chipotle on one of them. I can taste it already :)
