Treager grill problems

first i had problems with it flaming out then restarting and causing it to catch fire bad deal. made sure it was clean, then the temperature starting going off the chart and causing fire. did some reading and replaced the controller, and temp probe that comes with. re cleaned it , and went to test it, open door till good smoke closed door and set temp. it took its regulator time to come up, it hit 180 and i felt great , but then again going up to 300 i shut it down and unplugged it to stop the fan from running. so can anyone till me what is going on with it. i miss my smoker and going thru with draws from not cooking. any help would be great. i have had the smoker for almost 4 years us it more than my stove in my house. thank you for the help.

that is the next step, i was just looking to see if anyone had other ideas, with it being out of the warranty i wonder if they will be any help

Could be poor airflow. Check the fan and the entire air channel and make sure it is not corroded and leaking, or obstructed.
