I am do for a run to Trader Joe's. Been a very long time. I have had really good luck in the past getting decent wine for fairly cheap. Any suggestions? I have loved everything I have got from Portugal.

Bumping.
Not a clue Brian. We're not wine drinkers.
We're due for our annual run to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods and Wild Fork Foods as are all in the vicinity. One of the biggest cluster traffic messes in SW Orlando to try getting east, west, north & south

HI!
Wine selection is a serious decision >
I had a few lectures from the wineries them selves. when in College.
I saw a review from TJs :
Kitchn had 13 choices winners as he says ? Google it.
Its dated Sept 26, should be recent, ? a lot
of nice choices in the $10 range !
But they buy in Lotts ( batches).
When they are gone, they are gone !
I think any advice would be Passe, so to speak ?
Question ?
What type do you like ?
Basically : Red or White, Dry or sweet ?
The KITCHN Review did offer what the wines went good with what foods !
Many of BBQ foods ! even if they are not available, it gives you a sense of what to look for?
I LIKE THAT !
Wish I could be there to steer you the right way ?
ELF
PS: If you find a wine in question ? AI it !? Gives you an idea it it fits yur needs !
Good luck!

Brian, their Grower's Reserve is what we drink and it's cheap enough cook with. I think they are about $7.00 a bottle. We buy a case mixed with Cab, Merlot, and Zinfandel.
It's night and day better than that $2 Chuck stuff, which isn't bad for cooking with, but for drinking it doesn't do it for me. Try one of each Cab, Merlot, and Zin, they aren't like drinking a $40+ bottle, but they could easily sell them for $20+.

I think they changed the label, so ask for it name if you don't see it.

Dan.

I will look for that. I have had petty good luck just random picking for the most part. I usually go for about the $7 range.
