For an doctors appointment.  My wife wants me to teach her how to BBQ so she can enter an all women's cook off next month.  So we will have q-view tomorrow of her very first BBQ.  I will be giving pointers but nothing else I am worried that she is going to be a way better pit master than I am because she is a great cook.  I should have seen this coming my days as the best BBQ person in the house are officially numbered.  ON the bright side I see a WSM purchase in our future so she has her own smoker or two.  She is making brine and prepping chicken as we speak.

You've now graduated to advisor/judge status!  Of ourse, you will have to teach her maitenance, cleaning, modifications, etc., as well as sausage-making, dry curing, building a curing chamber and so on!

Gonna work on fire control and prep today  she will work on brisket next week.  Ribs and chicken should be ready in 7 hours keep an eye out.

The ribs are on and going good. 

First she trimmed the fat not tough for her she butchers all of our wild game.

We like to use a binder so I told her to use some mustard.

While the ribs sit for a bit she built her very first fire.

Threw the ribs on at 215

No time for resting she has a busy day ahead.

1 and 1/2 hours later we peek to see how the color is coming along.

Thanks everyone she had fun I believe every husband and wife should have alteast one hobby they enjoy together.  She is gonna try brisket next.
