Has anyone here ever dried tomatoes and made powder? Would you smoke them then dry them or just dry them? Maybe char some to dry also.

I slice real thin, then dehydrate for around 8 hours at 135. Then grind real fine in coffee grinder. Never thought of smoking first. Hmmmmmm..............
