Anyone doing any cool meals for this?

Interesting thought but I had not planned anything special. Somehow I get the feeling that the Olympics this go around is gonna be lacking. There's just too much negative press and the media seems to have taken a lot of the excitement out of it. I hope I'm wrong about that and if I am, I'll find something nifty to cook up when we get to the medal ceremonies.

Very valid point, Robert. Love the Olympics, but I think you’re right. This year may not be as special and/or fun to watch as previous years. Then again, the Winter Olympics are wayyy better IMO. If you do make something, it will at least give us something to look forward to. Can’t forget that a few beers will make the Olympics better lol.

Speaking about that, are you still homebrewing? If so, what have you brewed up recently?

Beer makes pretty much everything better :emoji_wink:

Nothing recently. I've gotten into so many other food related hobbies that making beer became more of a chore than something fun. Still have all my equipment though and may very well start back into making it again. Tracy and I talked about it yesterday and agree that the commercial beers, even the better quality ones, just aren't as good as home brew. You may smell the aroma of the brew kettles fired up again pretty soon.

I used to watch it but now it is all pro's, commercial and political. I may watch some of the winter games as I do like the sports better. Never again will we see a bunch of amatur hockey players beating the Russian team made of pro's, now it is more like an all star game.

Don't know what I'm making yet, but I always loved the Olympics.
I just hope this new variant of Covid doesn't completely destroy it.
I watched a program on 60 minutes a few weeks ago about that Little "Biles" Lady. She's doing things only men could do until now in Gymnastics. She's getting pretty old, so this has to be her last shot. Now there is a Substitute Gymnast Isolated, and a few Quarantined, so it's not looking good. Also a USA Tennis player tested positive.

Awesome. With you on the food hobby thing especially since I don’t mind buying craft beer. If you think of it next time you brew, post some pics. Haven’t brewed in a few years, so always enjoy seeing other people brew.
