I recently bought a Weber Smokey Mountain 22.5. When I put it together the lid didn't fit correctly. It just wouldn't sit in the channel and there was a noticeable gap. I called weber and they send me another lid. (by fed ex overnight) But that didn't fit either. So they sent me a new center section complete with all parts except the racks and the water pan. (they asked me to send the new lid back) The lid fit perfect on that one. Weber customer service was great in getting it fixed.

But now the question...Can anyone think of a good use for the extra center section I have now? Basically I have the center section of a WSM 22.5, complete with the stringers for the racks and the access door. I guess if I had a 22.5 grill I could put it on top and have another smoker. But other than that does anyone have any suggestions?

All suggestions are welcome. Furniture? Some other smoker set up? A giant piggy bank?

I actually thought about the double stack and the problem there is the stringers for the racks at the top of the center section prevent the bottom of the second center section from dropping in. I guess if you removed the stringers (or lowered them) it could work. Of course the smoker would be about 6 feet tall if the double stack worked.

Weber 22.5" kettle might get ya another whole bullet ? If not make a flat bottom and top and use it for a cold smoker....
