looking good!  It's funny you mention the membrane issue.  the other week i bought a pack of ribs from CostCo and went to take the membrane off and couldn't for the life of me remove it.  Then i realized....i'm pretty sure the membrane was already removed and i was just scraping off the skin....do you think this happened with you also?

Hey Terry those look good even if you were not 100% happy.

Since you got that new smoker you have turned into a smokin fool

Thanks everybody. I will defiantly be putting the extra sugar on before every smoke now!! Love that! Dave's Famous rub, not bad. Tasted better in the container than on the ribs.

Doug, I know there was still membrane on mine. I could see it, & some of it pulled

Scar, your right! I have been smoking alot It's nice to have alot more room to smoke more things! Plus I'm dying to get the smoke all dialed in & unfortunately modified. I think I'm going to try some High Heat Sealant soon around the chamber door to help seal it. I have stove rope , but man it's wide?  If it wasn't pouring & windy this week I'd be smoking again!!

see that's what i thought to as i was butchering it the other week...so maybe it was a very thin membrane.  because all over membrane's i've removed are pretty significant and have that "white" look...this looks almost like there wasn't anything but i was able to pull some off.

but when eating them i didnt taste the membrane on it, that gross flaky, "potato" chip texture
