Thermometer with a MES30

What is the best way to run a thermometer into the MES30?

Close it in the door, or run it through the vent?  Or does it matter?

Right through the vent.  You do not have to worry about the cable pinching in the door.

Through the vent.....it's not the cable you are worried about pinching....but the cable harming the seal of your door.
