I been saving my bread money sales for a dedicated bread oven but the event of last week with the killer dogs killing my chickens had me spend my $$$ on a coop.

Easier to just buy one then to try to build one in the freezing weather.

Update on the dogs.
The owners have still not come forward and animal control has not found the dogs.

Thanks

When we get some decent weather, the runs will get beefed up.
So far the dogs have not been back. I never had coyote problems.

That looks sweet, I'd blow the shavings out and give the inside and floors a thick coat of gloss paint, to preserve the wood and help with keeping it clean. Put up a few trail cams, they are cheap, and you'll know if it's a coyote or dog in case it happens again.

Sounds good, I'd still paint it first, but I'm O.C.D when it comes to stuff like that.
I figure with how much things cost these days, I want to take every step I can take at protecting my investment the best I can. In my town, we have a section at the local landfill, where you drop off paints, and household chemicals, It's great because the public can go in and grab whatever they need for free. There is always tons of paint to choose from, even 5gal pales of paints that were mixed wrong or whatever the reason were turned in. That's where I get my Thomson's water seal, that I spray my deck and fences with every few yrs, or paint for things just like your project, they always have white base paint for some reason. I'm guessing paint supply stores can only hold it for sale for so long until they have to get rid of it. But for free, the price is right!!!
You might check into something like that in your area, it comes in handy for oddball projects. The last time I was there I grabbed a 5 gal can of WD40, and 5 gals of commercial grade Round Up, I'm set for life. LOL!!!
