Glad to hear everything went well I understand the rehab is the worst part of it. Tell her to hang in there and it will all be worth it when shes done and doesn't have all the pain in her knee she's been living with

Well gang I got her home. Wow, you talk bout someone in pain. They dismissed her at about 3:30 and I go her in town about 4:20 and I stopped at the pharmacy to get her pain killers, blood thinner and something else. I went to the drive thru at Rite-Aid and the lady asked if I needed them today and I said yea and that she was behind on her pain meds and we needed them bad along with the blood thinner. Well she said to come back in 45 minutes to pick them up. I went back in 35 and they were closed. I could see the pharmacist still in the back and went and got a clerk to get him so I could explain our situation. He didn't give a crap, He told me to come back Monday. He would not fill the scripts. I finally got the scripts off him and headed to Wallymart and got there just in time for them to fill them. I was fuming. It takes a lot to get me upset but for me to see my wife in that much pain and to have a pharmacist who couldn't spend five extra minutes to help me get her meds shows me exactly how this whole freakin country is imploding.
Sorry gang, I think I just had to unload.

WOW....that is just plain WRONG. Ray, I'm not typically a complainer -- but I'd contact the Rite-Aid HQ and let them know. That is not just poor customer service, it's outrageous. They need to know how that was handled, so they can prevent it from happening again.

Hope she is doing better now. My first 24 hours at home were rough, but it gets better.

Hang in there -- both of you!

Ray, glad that you got Mrs. Silverwolf home. To help encourage her in doing her excersises at home, do them along side her.

My doc has been talking to me about knee replacement surgery-now it's not a matter of "if" but "when".

Prayers up for the Mrs. for a speedy recovery!

glad to hear all went well, my mother had both hips replaced, she put off surgery while my father was battling cancer. after he passed she went and had the surgery done and says the pain from the surgery and rehab were like a relief to what she had. have heard others with joint replacements say the same thing, of course its easy to say something like that after the fact. this also includes a friend of my mothers who had both knees replaced at the same time.... hope all goes as well for her!!!

Thank you all. I let her read all of these replys and it really ups her spirits. Ya know, I used to say that I was allergic to two things; Penicillin and pain. Well now it's three things, penicillin, pain and seeing someone else in that much pain.
I did learn something yesterday, how to give shots. I figured if I can gut and clean whatever I kill and prepare it to eat, I could give her shots. Well it wasn't that easy at first but made it through. LOL.
Thanks again all of you and many blessings to you all,

good for you sir!!! i can imagine the difficulty involved but when things are needed we all find a way to muster through dont we. glad you shared this with the wife as well, is a great bunch here who do care what happens even if there is no qview involved like is commonly portrayed.

ps if you getting ideas of qviewing the wifes knees-forget it doode LOL

ROFL. The thought came to mind until I saw Erain and Jak post. I know how this gang loves q/view but I think I found everyones limits on it. I haven't measured the inscission yet but it's got to be 8-9 inches with staples in it.
Ok, enough of the description and Ok gang, no q/view on this one.
LOL

good to here she is back at home and good for you for getting the script back.

I hate how the docs use staples. I had my left knee reconstructed back in 2004 and my doc used staples. A word to the wise, if your wife feels throbbing pain that's like someone hitting her w/ a hammer and red blotches that are warm to the touch going all up and down her leg, don't wait like I did to get to the hospital!!! I had done everything to a "T" that the docs told me to do and wound up w/ a staph infection from the damn staples.

Thanks for the info. I'll remember that one. We're in luck though with things like that. Her daughter works in a docs office and knows bout that stuff.
Thanks
