Well, apparently, they think there very well may have been a cross-contamination problem, quite possibly in a storage facility with other products coming in contact. This must be a particularly virulent strain of the disease.

The BS from the FDA, is making me LOL.

Well, 40,000 people a year get it from everything from eggs to chicken and even their pet iquanas, so you're probably one of those people (not that you have an iguana...)

How you get by without eating salsa, I don't know. I know couldn't do it!

I hope its all BS since the chimichanga's I cooked yesterday were absoulutely covered with the fresh Jalops.

Just kiddin!!

Salmonella is pretty common. In a college microbiology class, we did a test for salmonella on chicken. Out of 100 legs we tested, 100 came back positive for salmonella in large quantities.

Ever since then, I'm very anal about cooking chicken until done and not cross contaminating surfaces/cooked food.

The bigger question is, what the heck is it doing on my produce?

Today's paper said the found 1, that's ONE peppper. Hell, if you tested enough of anything eventually you would ONE.

Our government is a joke sometimes.

Let's keep the conversation about peppers and not our government.
