Well so far so good!! I put my Boston Butt on at 6:20 this morning. The smoker has stayed consistent at 205 all morning. I've had to add wood twice so far. I bought a leave in meat thermometer and right now it's showing 160* Things are good so far!

My temp seems to have stalled out at 176*. Smoker is still at around 205-210. Should I just leave it alone or do I need to raise the cooking temp a little?

Your smoker temp is a little low for me. I go 225°-250° Yes a stall is normal and could go for hours.

Happy smoken.

Just leave I alone, most meats will stall.  I always foil my butts at 165 this help push it through the stall and shortens the cooking time.  Of course you do not get that thick bark but that is fine with my family.  I take my butts to 203-205 pull and rest for at least an hour and two or three won't hurt before pulling.

Good luck and have some patience all is well.

thank yall. I went ahead and foiled it and brought the temp up to about 215-220. Once this little jewel is done I'll post some pics. Didn't think of it while I had it out. It is looking freakin awesome though!
