After my first italian fatty, my wife told me I should make them for Christmas gifts. Now, she doesn't just give any old meat product for Christmas so I must have a knack for these things.

That would be ok if you started a trend away from fruitcake gifts and toward fattie exchanges for boxing day. Shorter life span for the fatties though.
