We were empty nesters for two years. #1 son move back after graduation in May.

Hope he gets into grad school next year. It's seriously cramping my style.

Funny story. Just before my daughter went off to college leaving the nest, my wife was despondent over the thought of no kids at home. She was talking to someone who gave her good advice. This lady told her, "honey, if you like your husband even a little bit you are going to love it".
We've loved it ever since.

God bless em, I love my kids dearly and enjoy seeing them but I ready to have my life back. If the real estate market wasn't so bad I'd sell the big house and move into a condo on the water.

Enjoy it while you can.. kids never forget.. they won't come back but thier kids will... got a granddaughter sleeping in the spare bedroom right now as I try typing softly so she won't wake up.... SHHH! Stop laughing so loud! Gawd, I hate changing diapers now... 30 yrs ago it was fun, but now.. Oh man... and all you do is trip over the dad gummed toys too.. there's a rollaround one that plays "Old MacDonald" at 100 db.. crap, she heard me ... Knew I shouldda picked the toy that was only 40 db to write about.... go back to sleep now... pleaaasee... you'll wake your grandma.. at 4am that's like poking the Wicked Witch of the West with a stick.. uh oh, think she heard me say that.. gotta go!

Congrats you'll love it not at first by you will learn to like it. We did even down sized the house we lived in then the darn kids moved back in. So we bought a compound and they live up in the front house and we have the whole back house.

We can spoil the grand kids and then give them back to mommy

We are dateing again or for the first time realy in 37 years...whoo hoo life is good.
