Made a trip up to one of my favorite lakes to paddle around in here. There was still plenty of water to paddle in but not enough to get to all parts of the lake. The water is down a 1'-0" from where it should be. By the end of August I suspect that a good portion of the lake will be dry!

That's South Sister and Broken top to the right, both would normally still have more snow than that. Both of those mountains feed this lake.

This is Mt. Bachelor. There's three little patches of snow left on it.

End of the road! Normally you can paddle through here, but due to the lack of  water the reeds have taken over. I was only sitting in 10" of water.

My friend and his crew. Good thing we paddle skinny water boats. We got  into a few spots where the water was no more than 3"-6" deep!

DS2003, I wish we could send some of our rain your way ! Here in New England we are 3-4 inches above average for rainfall.

Yes, I'm on a well for water but the City is raising rates here again by about 6%. Also, I've heard/read Nestle has plans to rape the Columbia River as it did to many spots in California for their bottled water operation. Total BS in my opinion and I seriously hope no politician would dare to entertain that proposition. Beautiful pics by the way.....Willie

Hi Case,

Like CrazyMoon, we'd be glad to send you a lot of water if we could. We've been getting more than enough for many years, and this year is certainly no exception.

Thanks for the Beautiful Scenic Pictures though.

For us the main issue is that we didn't get the snow pack that we normally do. We actually had the normal amount of moisture it was just too warm in the mountains. The prediction is for a colder longer wetter winter so hopefully the mountains will get what we need.
