I recieved my gift from inkbird mid last week and had a chance to test it out last weekend. I came with 3 fine tip meat probes, 1 chamber probe and 2 grill clips as well as the transmitter, reciever and charging cords. Did the boiling water test first and all 4 probes read 208*(water boils at 209.1* at my elevation) so only 1* out. The chamber probe temp came up slowly in the boil water test but the meat probes were as fast as my instant read javelin. On Saturday i set up the webber performer for a 7lb chuck eye for barbacoa. I cut the chuck into 5 pieces to get more rub and smoke on it.

it was drizzling with a few showers so got to give the reciever a light moisture test. It worked fine but this was by no means a cloudburst. Kettle settled in so i probed the 3 lagest pieces and loaded them up.

i had set the timer for 5 hrs. As you can see it stalled with about 2 hrs left.

left it another 1hr and then brought in to finish in the oven

i also tested the range before i lost signal. Im not sure if i went 1500 ft but i was well over 1000 without losing signal. All in all i was happy with how the IRF-4S performed and I'm looking forward to trying all the other features in the future. Good value at its price point.

Just got mine yesterday and tested with a sous vide cook at 160*F and ice water. Looking forward to doing some chicken thighs tomorrow and maybe a pulled pork cook this weekend.
