Ok I'm in the middle of my first smoke and I bought a digital remote thermometer and its reading 174 another old fashioned meat probe is reading 140 and another is reading 160 which do I believe. I've had it in 2 hours at 250 in a GOSM any ideas?

You can check them by dipping the probes in boiling water and see what they read. Some you can adjust too, if needed.

Think I figured out the digital one the probe doesn't go far enough into the meat therefore giving me smoker temp and not meat temp I had just opened the door duh dumb rookie mistake. As far as the other 2 I may not have had 1 in long enough will try again in awhile still got a little ways to go Thanks

Ok now know my second rookie mistake and corrected it take laptop out by smoking area so its not so hard to ask questions
