Temp control fan

I saw Alton Brown on Food Network a while back put a fan with a thermal controller on his smoker. Has anyone used anybody these? Is so, did you like it?

If you're talking about when he used a PitmasterIQ they are great...a newer version is coming out also. BBQ Gurus are great also...just more expensive because they have other features like connecting to your internet.
