Jerky is done. Teryaki with a kit I bought. Turned out pretty solid. Just delivered today was my food saver and I'm not sure how ive lived without this device!

So I'm headed to the race next weekend in Talladega to meet up with the wife's family. I'm going to cook a bunch of meat and vacuum sealer it this weekend to throw in foil pans and heat up on the grill for the tail gate.

Going with 8lbs. of pulled pork, 6 lbs. of Chucky into burnt ends and, 4lbs. Of teriyaki jerky. I'll update tonight when it all starts. Probably going to start it around 8:00 pm.

Went with a standard beef rub and put this on the pit at 11:00 pm. Rode 235 and I pulled them off at 7:30 am and they were sitting at 182.

Cubed thm up and just going to throw some beef broth in the pan and go oven at 250 until they are tender. Decided to go oven so I did have to fumble around checking them on the second rack of the wsm.

Here is the butt after being rubbed with Jeff's and went for 10 hours. Was sitting at 180 so panned with squeeze butter, tiger and some apple juice . More to come.

Ha! Yeah that thing sat unused for years after we got married. Recently been using it to make fruit smoothies in the morning.

Mine too . My daughter wanted it ( 15 years ago ) Never got used . If you have the whole set up , they have shaker tops that fit the jars . Great for rubs . Grind it all up , shake it on the meat . I love it for spice mix for sausage . Didn't mean to change the thought of your thread , but it's a great tool !
