If you're from the south, you've heard of Apple Pie moonshine. It's basically a sweet apple flavored whiskey between 70-90 proof (in my experience) I have injected countless shoulders with Apple cider vinegar. Last night I was sipping on some Apple Pie from Rock Town Distillery. (made in my home town of Little Rock) I decided that I will try it on my next butt. Anyone tried anything like that before? How was it? I am smoking a pork loin today and injected some of it in there.I know loin and shoulder is way different so, I'll keep you posted how it worked out.

The last butti did I injected with Orchards Hard Apple Cider. Was also doing some ribs 3-2-1 style and used the same thing for foiling juice. I used a 1-3 ratio of Burbon to honey for a glaze the last hour or two on both. Worked great!

MW, Sounds good, I  love a few sips of apple pie to settle my nerves from time to  time.

Looks good,, oh so does the loin LOL Let us know how it turns out for you

Great start of the day

A full smoker is a happy smoker

Turned out pretty good. The apple-liquor taste was mild but delicious. I think it will work better on a shoulder. Can't wait to try it.
