First off, since my Giants did not make the playoffs this year, I really could careless about the Superbowl; however, in the spirit of smoking food, my WSM will be getting a good workout.

Today's challenge is, what will you be smoking for the Superbowl?

So far, I'm planning on the following:

1 - Pulled Pork (I still have 2 butts left over from the Summer--and I always smoke it a day in advance);

2  - St. Louie style ribs.  I normally will get a 3 pack from Costco's and cut each in half; and

3 - Wings--my version of smoked wings.  I'll probably put those in the MES.

I like your style, man. I'm new to the forum and new to using smokers. I just bought the ECB from Home Depot after I didn't get the WSM that I had wanted for Christmas. It's better that way anyways. You got crawl before you can walk or something like that...

Anyways, my Cleveland Browns are never in the Super Bowl..so that day is always about the party and less about the game. I haven't made my modifications to my ECB yet because its cold as you know what right now.

This date would give me the perfect amount of time to make my modifications. Cure the smoker. Adjust as needed. Do a dry run on chicken and then try doing something larger for the Super Bowl.

I'm thinking some ribs and chicken! :grilling_smilie:

I might try cornish hens or small fryer chickens, corned beef brisket, and maybe some pork. all depends on what's on sale.

And since the Lions liked losing most of their games by 7 pts or less this year, they won't be in the playoffs either.

Seahawks are in the play-offs for the first time in years (at least until Sunday), so I'm looking for a good deal on wings. Want to try that injected Buffalo sauce recipe I found elsewhere on here.

Freezer section of Costco has jumbo bags of wings for right around $20. They aren't whole wings but sections, still work good. I usually do a bag or two depending on how many people are showing up!

Another good source for meats is Cash and Carry,  I believe they are in Washington too. The fresh meat locker is good, but also check out the frozen case goods.

Ooo, I did that back in November. People will go nuts when they bite into those..so good!

I get the duty of doing ribs, brisket and tr-tip, plus a few burgers and dogs for the kids.  I am going to try and sneak a few ABTs on there as well.

Something about having the 60 inch tv with 3D automatically makes you the party house.

LOL - I'm sure it sounded like a good idea at the time!
