Hello brothers and sisters of the SMF.
It has been a very tough weekend for alot of folks from nebraska,Iowa, all the way east to Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, Illinoise.
We had had some trees down, roads washed out and people killed by falling trees, lightening and flash flooding.

I hope all of our members are doing well, as getting through these trying times. If you are one of the lucky ones without any damage, please try to offer help or prayers for those who have lost family or property. May god bless and protect you all.

Yes, has been twisters all around.... had a funeral in lincoln the other day and got cought in one on I-80 on the way home... was exciting... but the wife didnt agree.... back home got hit earlier this year and again the other day...needless to say weve been sleeping in the basement since the weather has been so bad lately.. hope everyone else is fairing good through all this!!!

This weather is getting real old!!! Little tornados all around us last night. No damage, just a ton of rain. Basement has about 3". Time to tear out carpet and dry wall. Talked to my sister this aft. Their water plant is under water so the whole town got shut off. Same place Tip (Travcoman lives). Not good.

I'm in Omaha and we had a tornado hit last night. Thankfully it was on the other side of town from me but it sounds like there are a lot of damaged homes and I heard that even the Wal Mart in Millard got hit pretty bad. The storm came in real late bout 2:30 am. We were at a hotel gettin in on with a wedding party and all had to go to a dining room where we had to wait it out. My thoughts are with those effected by this season's storms. It's still early and we've already gotten as many storms as were expected for the whole year.

Yes, LaCrosse wisconsin has been pounded again too.
That poor lil town has really had their share over the last year and a half.

OH and prayers to Travco, your Sis their families and friends.

Hey, Capt. Dan, I Live in Sioux City, Ia, and grant it no bad weather but the rain stinks, I put a laundry basket on the front porch and it is history, unloading railcars in the rain stinks. We have been lucky compared to the lowered States, GOOD LUCK AND GODSPEED,Wish I could do something for them

That goes for me also Capt. Dan.

Had round one earlier today, after a full night of it yesterday, and the day before. Looks like round 2 for today will be here in 4-5 more hrs. Its in wisc, and minn right now.

Crazy stuff, and like another already mentioned, most of the midwest has had its season average of tornados already with 3 months left in the season.

Been chattin' with Tip today and he's hunkerin' down for the long haul. Filled up some 5 gal jugs of water and a few coolers to get them through their plumbing, as the water plant busted up near them.

He's in chat now and am hopin' he'll swing by and give ya'll an update. Another reason SMF so awesome, the community really cares about their own.

Take care to everyone gettin' hit with Mother Nature's wrath ...

Hey yall, were still above water fer now, river is at a 75 year high flood level, shut down our sewage treatment plant an our fresh water treatment plant, bridges er gone, roads er washed out, train tracks too. Gonna be a long haul here fer a bit. Were stockin water an supplies as best we can. Ifin the rain stops now, we may have some services back in a couple days, ifin we get all the rain there talkin bout, we be leaven town in the motorhome. Guess we will wait an see what happens, thanks fer the thoughts folks.

Tip.

Take care my friend, and start getting the"ark" loaded with goods and fuel if ya can. This weather has been crazy, I doubt it will settle down in the next few days.
My thoughts are with you and all our SMF families in this time of need.

Well, there tryin ta figure a way ta hook the wells up direct, but, won't be able ta drink it. That would be fine. The big problem is they don't know if it got inta the main holdin tank fer the fresh water. If it did, the whole system is contaminated. The transformers fer the fresh water plant er under water too. The sewage treatement plant is fightin ta stay up an runin with all the excess water comin in. There also close to a river (Genius) whick is 15 feet over its banks right now, ain't peaked yet. So, if god likes us at all, he will stop the damn rain please! Guess we will see what daylight brings. Water pressure is droppin fast as the towers empty out.
