Great looking turkey Gene. Deep fried turkey is awesome as well. You stick to those two methods and you be cooking the turkey every T-giving and X-mas. Watch your self.

Way to go Gene!I know where I'm going for Thanksgiving this year!

looks good gene, skin looks like has nice texture to it ie crispy... dont be afraid to brine them gene. the added salt and other ingreds osmos'd into the bird are really tasty. super smoke, i outta points man other wise i be sendin some your way. great job!!!

My bird was swimmin in liquid in the package so I'd plan on it being about the same

That looks great Gene! made me wonder if you could do a reverse fry on a bird? Prepare just as you did and put on smoker for awhile then have a fryer ready to go and take right from the smoker and into the fryer.

Haven't tried frying a bird yet. Give it a try and let us know how you make out with it....sounds like a good idea!!

Hehe I would love to except I don't own a turkey fryer and likely won't be purchasing one anytime soon. If anyone else tries it though I'd love to hear/see the results.

I will however be smoking one like you did soon, that looks really tasty!
