rubbed this beauty down tonight and planning to smoke saturday for sunday supper. I thawed it for the last two days, but now I can't remember how much it weighs? I bought in a 2-pack and the other was about 1.5x bigger..... I guess it's 5-6 lbs. rubbed it with some local lowcountry spice and sugar. i'm planning to update as we go. hope evbody is having a great safe weekend.

after sitting rubbed and happy for 24 hours, the butt went on at 7pm. smoked over hickory chips in the char-broil electric h20 smoker. at 10:30pm the internal temp was 164 and I wrapped it in foil and finished the cooking in the oven at 215. I cut the oven off at 4:30am and let the butt sit for 3 hours. very pleased with the results. q-view pics attached.
