Just a reminder (especially for the younger folks out there) with summer coming on to use sun screen.  As my 50[sup]th[/sup] birthday approaches I have just had my 5[sup]th[/sup] procedure to remove basal cell skin cancer and Keratosis. Had to go in today for PDT (Photodynamic therapy (PDT).  Not a bad procedure if you follow the Doc’s orders. Me being the hard head I am I did walk out in the sun for less than 30 seconds and it felt like my face was on fire. To many years of working on the flight line and fishing thinking I was invincible. It will catch up to you. My dermatologist said that proper sun screen application would have stopped this.  All you fair skinned folks out there like me, tans’ may look cool but you will pay for the sun eventually.   Maybe this will help some one!

.... and even us dark skined folks can get a good burn if you aren't carefull! Hope it all goes well Bam.

I hear ya, I was fishing a few years ago and had my shirt off for 5 minutes and got pretty crispy and I'm not light skinned.

I second that Tim I had Karen call and make an appointment for me today to go get more cut out. Never thought or worried about sunscreen when I was younger and paying for it now

I guess I'm really lucky, been in FL most of my life always working outside in the sun, haven't had a problem yet! Knock on wood!
