Hello folks.
let me start by saying that my wife surprised me today with a t-shirt from this awesome website.
anyway... I am finding myself cooking so many briskets for family and friends and friendS of friends that I am looking to either sell my PitBoss 8 and get something bigger (Like what?) or add something else. I am really new to this world and I am absolutely in love. What are your guys recommendation ? I see myself cooking up to 3 briskets at time for church.
thanks in advance for all your input.

Well, size wise, Yoder makes the YS640S, or the 1500 model ... but those are both at a much higher price point. But for the money they are well worth the investment. They are tanks ... think military tank, not propane.....

What’s the cooking area measurement in a Pitboss 8? Are you locked into pellet for a fuel source?

Never heard of a pitboss 8 ,the vertical 6 can hold a bunch of stuff,

Neither of those has the amount of rack space as the pitboss, sounds like the smaller PB is doing a good job but he is looking for space , not sure either of those has more space than what he has?

the 6 has over 2000 sq" it is a vertical which smoker do you have?

I see a pitboss 7 now, not sure if that was what I was thinking of vs a 6 lol, lot of smoker either way, I bought the son a 5 2 years ago for Christmas and it has done really good

Pitboss gets my vote, 5 year warranty means a lot to me. have read using a disposable pan instead of the factory 1 helps even out the heat, son hasn't had any problems with his #5

I have the louisiana grill vertical it is the same as the pitboss 7 except it has two latches vs the one. It will hold a ton of meat. I took the stock water out and put the large foil pans in it. Hold more water and catches almost all the drips. Cleaning has been easy. I use mean green degreaser on the glass just takes a few minutes.. Costco has the best deal in the stores for it.

Well guys after all I am leaning towards a vertical smoker but I am not sure of each one I should get. I truly appreciate any input. Thank you again.

I've had a GOSM in the past. It's a large cabinet propane smoker. It served me very well for over 15 years. Might add this type of smoker to your consideration. Mine had 4 racks that could fit a large brisket each. I cooked everything from pork bellies (cold smoke) to brisket and pork shoulders.
