stuffed smoked dates in bacon w/qview

well, mrs goobi found a recipe for me to try.. figured if it goes on the smoker, cant be that bad.

fairly simple
slice open dates and stuff with cream cheese


wrap in bacon (or turkey bacon as the case may be)



smoke for 1.5 - 2hrs with your favorite wood (these were on for 4 hrs TOO LONG)


picture is smaller b\c the computer didnt like the fact they were overcooked.my wife also didnt want me to post the finished product due too overcooking. i figure that if i can laugh then so will someone else

anyway, they were tasty although i think they were better cold....maybe it hides the burnt flavor

wondering if mabe a flavored cream cheese like strawberry would make it better....hmmmm....sounds like another smoking experiment for this weekend
