Stuffed bacon draped mushrooms and Bacon wrapped shimp

I figured I would try smoking some shrimp and mushrooms for a nice snack for myself while the rest of the family is working. I was not sure what to expect out of this but it is out of this world. I am in the process of enjoying my new favorite snack. Q-view to follow soon.

I started with some nice sized white mushrooms.

I removed the stems and stuffed them with onion and chive cream cheese.

Pulled a pack of my first apple smoked bacon out of the freezer.

I fried the bacon a few minutes so that it would be a little crispier in the end.

I draped the bacon over the schrooms and put in the smoker at 250 degrees.

I started prepping the shrimp and sprinkled them with some Cajun from Penzy's spice.

Put them in 40 minutes after the schrooms.

Left the shrimp in a total of 20 minutes and the schrooms a total of 1 hour.

I grabbed a drink and sat down to enjoy them. I never expected that much smoke flavor out of them. The shrimp really took the apple smoke nicely. I guess I need to double up on the cholesterol meds and make some more tomorrow.

I sliced my bacon thin, medium and thick. I forgot to mark the packs that way. I grabbed one out of the freezer that was thick and it was hard to wrap the shrimp. Making a mistake like that is a good reason to keep trying and eating until I get it right. Either that or I need to buy jumbo shrimp.

I was messing with my wife and kids telling them what I was doing while they were at work. They knew about the schrooms but only found out about the shrimp after seeing the pics. I have them all mad at me since I didn't save them even a scrap of it.

After lookin' at the title for 2 days, I finally got up the nerve to open this thread......shrooms, shrimp, bacon, stuffed, all words that make me hungry.......
