So what’s the most extreme weather you’ve grilled/smoked in? Let’s hear them stories.

Me too! I cheat...smoke in the heated garage unless it's a blizzard and wind is cranked. Looking to build a smoking area to get out of the wind...even when it's nice and out of the weather when it's not nice.

I have braved some weather for sure, but I do have a shop that is incredible that came with our house we moved into 3 years ago, so it's the walk to the shop that is perilous lol. I thought it was the neighbor's house and did not realize it was part of our property until I asked the realtor why the neighbors built their house so close to the property line lol.

I have been out in a few not so bad storms , Ice storm, snow storms last winter. But I cheat as I built the 2 deck roofs to cook/smoke under . And the Smokers Shed for the smoker. So really all I have to do is fight the walk to the shed and stay in there,
So not so bad for me

David

Crossing the gulf stream in our sailboat. Didn't use the galley. Cooked breakfast on a rail mounted magma. All was calm till we got there. Good thing it had a cover.

Grilled chicken wings while it was snowing……..smoked a boston butt overnight in the dead of winter when the overnight low was in the teens. I remember I wrapped my WSM in a welders blanket!

Other than usual Winter temps in the teens or 20's, one time I grilled in a torrential downpour that got too windy, etc. I was soaked within a few minutes, but finished cooking, lol. We've since gotten a pavilion to cover.
