I am considering making a cart with a flip top, much like woodworkers might use to store a planer and drum sander---where the top flips over to make use of the other tool.

Does anyone think having access to only a meat grinder/or slicer---only one at a time would be a big inconvience to how they use these two tools? (the slicer in transit to me weighs over 100 pounds and I can't see lifting it on/off a shelf to use it because of that)

Your thoughts please

Thanks
Dan

I've got a big Holbert slicer and Grinder, my grinder is on a stand with wheels I made for it to get it up higher and its heavy as all get up at least several hundred pounds so it makes it real nice and even my slicer is on its own table because its a heavy holbert to but I've actually got my own meat room so my stuff stays there all year and ready for use when ever.

Your table is a novel idea for sure if your slicer and grinder are on the small size. Now If you have a slicer like brohnson a big heavy machine it wouldn't be a good thing. But if your slicer is like mine (only has a 7" blade) it would work just fine. The same also works for the grinder.

I would think that's a great idea. Off the top of my head, I can't imagine a situation where you would need both pieces of gear at the same time. Great plan.
