We had a taste test for a few steaks tonight;
1) Wagyu
2) Dry age NY strip
3) Choice Ny strip
4) Pork chop

family voted for the Wagyu unanimously. Mixed reviews on the dry age from 2 of the 4 voting. The ny strips were sous vide and then seared over 600 degree coals. Wagyu was cooked on cast iron and then quick sear over coals.

Fun thing to do. I think I will copy this idea...LIKE!

Not a fan of dry-aged or wet aged meat though, So I guess that makes me the tie breaker haha.

Sorry, but you made a terrible omission. You don't have a Canadian's input. I suggest you do this again and invite me. In the meantime, big like!

Welcome! all that beef looks crazy good!

I got the SV I wanted for Christmas. What was your time and temp on the SV steaks? I can hardly wait to try mine. Looking for some T and T from others.

thanks!

No wonder the Wagyu was top pick. That looks like A5. Top of the line Beef. Prime Beef is Dog Food compared to A5...JJ
