Good looking Al! I'm making fajitas tonight but definitely don't have a griddle to use like this. Maybe someday I will. Can do eggs and all on it. We used large ones at the restaurant I worked at.

    Thanks Buddy!

Yea you can do anything that you would do at the restaurant on a flattop. This morning we had bacon, eggs & hash browns. This thing is something that I think we will use everyday.

Thank-you my friend and thank-you for the points!!

  7. Al,

Almost nothing beats a Flat Top ! we love ours, breakfast burritos sound like a plan..... our first flat top was simply a heavy steel plate on the gas BBQ until we found the blackstone.[IMG]

    Thanks Tom,

Especially here in Florida, I'm thinking we will use this almost every day all year round. I'm getting ready to fire it up for breakfast right now!

    Thanks for the points!

@SmokinAL Thanks for the post I like the setup you got and am now looking into these. I see the camp chef one can also convert into a gas grill, have you used this a grill yet? Easy to convert? I am trying to decide between this with the grill feature or the Blackstone that appears to be only flattop but cheaper. Also how easy is it to clean the grease catch?

No I haven't used it as a grill, I have a gas grill that I use & this one will be just a flat top. It's very easy to switch between the two. All you do is lift off the flat top & the grill grates are underneath. The flat top even has a handle on it for easy carrying. It has two grease traps, one for the flat top & one for the grill. Both come right off & can be covered with foil. It's a very well made grill & I'm sure it will last for a long time. But if you need a part they are readily available from Camp Chef.

    Thanks Jon!

We used to make the tortillas on a cast iron pan on the cooktop, but this is so much easier. We are going to be cooking on this a lot.

    Thanks for the points too!

SmokingAl, I love your new flat top.   I don't need any new toys but I sure would like to have one of those.    I am seriously considering it now.    Lord give the the strength to resist the urge to buy one.[IMG]

I really am starting to look into these. I see the Camp Chef can also be used as a grill. Is this the major difference between the Black Stone and Camp Chef? Is the build quality between the two the same or similar? There is no store that carrys them to get a touch and feel so Amazon is my source.
