First time making ribs last night. They were done in the oven due to weather but they turned out great. Cooked at 300° for a little over 3 hours. Used mustard to bind, then seasoned with onion powder, garlic powder, bbq seasoning, chili powder, paprika, season all, and a little bit of brown sugar. Brushed a little bbq sauce on them at the end and they were perfect.

Those look fantastic. I use the oven finish sometimes on everything from ribs to brisket. Nothing wrong with that, in the end heat is heat as long as you can get at least a couple three hours of smoke first, it’s all good. Nice work.

Looks phenomenal, nothing wrong with improvising when the weather won’t cooperate! Nice cook!

BTW, was planning a smoked elk roast chili today… but didn’t want to fight the wind and it is raining sideways! So the crockpot was put to use!

Again, great job on them ribs… they look very tasty!

Like others have said, Great looking ribs and the coating sounds good also.
Oven is a great back-up, when the weather does not work out.

Have to ask....is the XCV for 95 in Roman numerals.

Tip: heat your sauce first, then brush on front to back (along the bones). You won't see all the brush marks and it'll look nicer! Good job!
